Art Exhibition Alexander Bandzeladze The founding father of modern painting in Georgia
- born 1927 in Tulun / Siberia
- returned to Georgia in 1933, worked and died in his family’s homeland
- 1962 diploma in arts / Academy of Georgia / Tbilisi,
- since 1966 professor for painting and form at the Academy of Arts in Tbilisi / Georgia

- 1989/90 Series of exhibitions featuring the master and three younger members of his studio-group in Tbilisi entitled “Georgia on my Mind”:

- Du-Mont Kunsthalle, Cologne – Germany
- Mona Bismarck Foundation , Paris
Following these international successes the master only went on to paint a few more paintings before he died in the 90s. Occasionally some of his paintings have been shown in public – others are preserved in private collections of international renown - mainly in Germany, France, Holland and the USA.
